Academic Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Surgeons

The University of Chicago's Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Rehabilitation Medicine is searching for full-time faculty members at any rank with expertise in foot and ankle surgery. Appointees will have inpatient and outpatient responsibilities in the context of a career in academic medicine. Other duties will include teaching and supervision of trainees and students, and scholarly activity. Academic rank and compensation (including a generous package of fringe benefits) are dependent upon qualifications. 

Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must: 1) have a medical doctorate or equivalent, 2) hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Illinois, 3) have completed an ACGME-approved orthopaedic surgery residency or its equivalent, and 4) have completed a fellowship or its equivalent in an area directly relevant to the specialization.

We especially welcome applicants with an interest in foot and ankle trauma who could build a practice rapidly.
